The renovation of this super-sized, South of Grand Tudor home began last Fall . This home has only had one other owner since 1927 which is super impressive nowadays. Fortunately, she had great bones but needed some major modernizing love. Five months later, we are pleased to put her back on the Des Moines' market.
As you will notice in the picture below the kitchen was the biggest overhaul. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a before demo photo but let's just say it was very sad and drab. We added a breakfast bar/serving area to bring in more natural light. Installed glass cabinetry and picked clean, bright finishes to make the previously closed and dark space feel more spacious and bright.
The rest of the house just needed gallons of paint, new flooring, lighting and a bunch of other stuff that was too boring/frustrating to document. This Tudor was a total labor of love and I can't wait til a lucky family gets to make it their home.
